A Ring Captain in many repsects is a Chief Ring Steward in training, except without the responsibility of the worker schedule. Your job is to make life a tiny bit easier for the Chief Ring Steward by focusing on one ring and making sure the workers that volunteered are there when they are scheduled to be there. If they aren't let the Chief Ring Steward know as soon as possible so they can find a replacement for you. If you can and you have someone in mind, you can do that as well.
In the case of trials that give out worker raffle tickets or lunch vouchers, make sure that at the end of a volunteers work assignment they get the perk they are entitled to. Increasingly fewer trials are giving out lunch vouchers and more are going towards raffles.
